Have you been asked to give a presentation to a church or school group?
Wold you like to save some time? PPA has the following template
PowerPoint presentations available for our members at no cost. You may
use them as they are or modify and customize them for your own needs. We
would appreciate some credit to the association for the origination and
in recognition of the pharmacy profession. These presentations are
designed with the general public in mind and are not for medical
professionals. They are for the most part designed to be a fairly basic
presentation which you can expound upon. Most are planned to be about 15
to 20 minutes in length. Some were designed by our student interns
while on rotation. Some also have several nice handouts or learning
tools which we designed to complement the presentation. PPA members may request to be sent a copy of any of these for your use.
Presentations
that are currently available include: Asthma, Careers in Pharmacy,
Diabetes, APhA's Medication Use, Katy's Kids, Medicine Safety.
Katy's Kids Program
Katy’s Kids program was developed by the Iowa Pharmacy Association
to teach children about medicines and medicine safety. Presentations
are given in classrooms by pharmacists and student pharmacists of the
community to kindergarten through second grade students.
The PPA public relations committee has developed some helpful resources
for students and pharmacists wishing to present the Katy's Kids program
in their local community. These resources are listed below.
More presentations are currently in development.
We also welcome contributions, so if you have prepared a presentation and are willing to share it, please let us know. Or if you would like to suggest a topic for development by a student intern, let us know. |
