Pharmacy Law Review
Each year, PPA presents the Multistate Pharmacy Jurisprudence Examination® (MPJE) Law Review course with speaker Kimberly Burns, JD. in Pittsburgh and in Philadelphia. This is an opportunity for pharmacy students to brush up on knowledge of federal and Pennsylvania pharmacy laws prior to sitting for exams. Courses are offered at a special discount to those students who are members of PPA.

The course syllabus includes: Controlled Substances and included schedules, inventory, refills, labeling, and other requirements; The Food Drug and Cosmetic Act and related amendments, the Poison Prevention, Prescription Drug Marketing, and Tamper Resistant Packaging Acts; Pennsylvania Drug labeling; OBRA 90; Pharmacy Act and Regulations; prescribing authorities of other practitioners, PA Department of Health, PA Hospital, and PA Long Term Care regulations; and much more. Certainly all of these items provide a solid review for preparation for the MPJE.
