This year's Mid Year Conference was held at the
Harrisburg Holiday Inn & Conference Center in New Cumberland,
PA, February 6-8, 2009.
Pharmacists, pharmacy students, technicians, and pharmacy
associates
throughout the state showed up to enjoy the weekend's events.
The conference kicked off on Friday with meetings,
continuing education programs
including Adult CPR, Pharmacy Advocacy: Making it WORK!, and
Building Relationships in
Business/Social Settings.
Friday evening followed with
the Conference Kick-Off/Welcome Dinner Party where everyone
was given a chance to use their new-found networking skills
learned during the afternoon CE
to socialize and enjoy the evening with colleagues.
Many attendees wore red on Friday
in observance of
National Wear Red Day
to show
support for women's heart disease awareness. PPA's Executive
Director, Pat Epple contributed $1
to the American Heart Association for each attendee that
showed up in their red attire.
