The conference continued Saturday morning with a breakfast sponsored by Value Drug Company
and continuing education programming on How YOU Can Impact Legislation with Ernie Boyd from Ohio,
You and Political/Community Involvement,
and Developing/Building Relationships with Physicians.
 



The morning continuing education programming followed with PPA's Colleagues in Consultation
Luncheon with 12 roundtable topics.
 
Topics for the lunch included How to Make an Impact on Government Officials, Women's Health, Patient Counseling on Diuretics and Dietary Sodium, Building a Successful Independent Pharmacy, Electronic Health Initiative,
 
 How to Run for Local Election, Planning & Implementing a Successful Immunization Program, Pharmacists Involved in Their Community's Health, Importance of Health Literacy in Pharmacy, Thinking about Implementing an Immunization Program,

Pharmacists Working with Local Employers, and How to Integrate Cessation Counseling into Your Practice.
 

 
More CE programs continued throughout the afternoon with
topics on Smoking Cessation, Presentation Skills, Antimicrobial Stewardship, &
Key Concepts to Transform Your Practice with Becky Snead from NASPA.



Attendees met for their academy meetings and to socialize during the
Beer & Banter Reception early Saturday evening before the Student Social.
