Type 2 Diabetes in the Pediatric Population

Speaker: Scott Drab, Phann . D., CDE, BC-ADM
Dr. Drab is an Assistant Professor of Pharmacy and Therapeutics at the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy. Dr. Drab is also a Certified Diabetes Educator and Director of Today University Diabetes Care Associates which serves as a model and prototype for future care centers. He currently serves on several school and University committees including, Experiential Learning Committee, Curriculum Committee, and the Pitt Pathway Committee. He also serves as Faculty Advisor and Liaison between students and the National Community Pharmacists Association.
Target Audience: This activity is intended for nurse, pharmacists and dietitians involved in providing education and support to pediatric patients with diabetes.
Program Goal: The goal of this knowledge-based program is to provide participants with current information about the presentation and management of type 2 diabetes in children, adolescents, and young adults under the age of 20 years.
