Online registration will be available until 12 Noon on Monday, September 18. On-site registration will be available.

 

Requests for cancellation refunds must be submitted to PPA on or before September 18, 2017. All refunds will be subject to a $25 administrative fee. Requests that are received after September 18, 2017 will not be entitled to a refund.

CE: Certified Tobacco Treatment Specialist Training

Thursday, September 21 - 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM

Certified Tobacco Treatment Specialists (CTTS) are professionals specializing in the science of tobacco addiction and ways to treat it. This CTTS training program is accredited by the Council for Tobacco Treatment Training Programs (CTTTP), and participants who successfully complete this training will earn the designation of CTTS. They will be experts in providing tobacco cessation services and able to help meet the demand of assisting smokers with quitting tobacco use for good.

2017 Golf Outing

Thursday, September 21 - 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM

PPA's Annual Golf Outing will be held at Pocono Manor Resort and Spa in Pocono Manor, PA. Proceeds benefit PPA's Educational Foundation and PharmPAC. Registration includes 18 holes, cart, and lunch.

Each Golfer: $150

CE: Pennsylvania Pharmacists Care Network Patient Care Training

Friday, September 22 - 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Open only to members of the Comprehensive Medication Management Collaborative, this live training session is designed to reinforce the concepts covered in the CMMC online training modules in an active learning environment through a patient case, documenting and billing encounters, and implementing patient care services in your practice setting.

Registration fee is included in CMMC enrollment fee

CE: Pharmacy-Based Travel Health Services

Friday, September 22 - 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM

Pharmacy‐Based Travel Health Services is an innovative and interactive advanced competency training (ACT) program that explores the pharmacist’s role in providing travel health services to patients. This application‐based activity is the first step for pharmacists interested in learning the essential skills necessary to successfully provide travel health services.

CE: Child Abuse Awareness Training

Sunday, September 24 - 9:25 AM to 11:25 AM

This two-hour training is designed to provide clinicians and other medical staff with the knowledge they need to accurately identify suspected child abuse and meet their legal obligation in reporting. The presentation reviews the elements of child abuse including the legal definitions of a child, perpetrator, categories and indicators of abuse. The training provides an overview of mandated reporting obligations including how to make a report, protections for those who report and the liability for failing to report.  Medical indicators of abuse are covered as are conditions that mimic abuse. Case studies are reviewed. This training is eligible for Act 31 credits and is approved by the Departments of Human Services and State.
