Schedule of Events:

6:00 PM - Registration Opens

6:30 PM - Buffet Dinner is Available - Options include: pasta, chicken, vegetables, dinner rolls and iced tea.  A full cash bar is also available.

7:00 PM - Pennsylvania Pharmacy Update 2017 CE

This event is free to PPA members and Berks County Pharmacists Association members.  If you are a current member of the Berks County Pharmacists Association only, please contact Danielle Adams to register for this event.  If you are not a member of the Berks County Pharmacists Association or PPA - you will be charged a $20.00 fee.

Description:

Attendees will learn about current regulation changes and legislative and regulatory issues in Pennsylvania. After this program, pharmacists and pharmacy technicians present will understand how they can be more involved and have an impact on important issues that affect pharmacy.

 

Program Objectives for Pharmacists

At the completion of this activity, the participant will be able to:

1. Outline any recent regulation changes and their impact on pharmacy in Pennsylvania

2. Identify current legislative successes that impact pharmacists and pharmacy

3. Explain current and upcoming pharmacy legislative and regulatory issues in Pennsylvania

4. List ways that pharmacists can be involved and impact these issues as pharmacy advocates

5. Discuss current initiatives and activities underway to advance the profession in Pennsylvania

Program Objectives for Pharmacy Technicians

At the completion of this activity, the participant will be able to:

1. Outline any recent regulation changes and their impact on pharmacy in Pennsylvania

2. Identify current and upcoming pharmacy legislative and regulatory issues in Pennsylvania

3. List ways that pharmacy technicians can be involved and impact these issues as pharmacy advocates

4. Discuss current registration/licensure status for pharmacy technicians in Pennsylvania
