Affiliated Counties

In order to strengthen the pharmacy “voice” and unite pharmacists, the Pennsylvania Pharmacists Association has established a program of joint relationships with selected county or regional pharmacy groups within the Commonwealth.  The program allows for cooperation and joint membership between the two groups.  Where the county/regional group has elected to become an affiliated group of PPA, dues for both organizations are collected together and PPA provides various assistance in the operation and promotion of the county group.  There are many benefits to both the affiliated county and PPA and most importantly, pharmacy in Pennsylvania is stronger because of this program!

At this time, there are three affiliated groups:  (We welcome the addition of more!)

Allegheny County Pharmacists Association (ACPA)

Joint ACPA membership is primarily for all pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, pharmacy students, and others that live in Allegheny County.  Those who live in surrounding counties and/or work in Allegheny County are also encouraged to consider joining ACPA.

BucksMont Pharmacists Association (BMPA)

Joint BMPA membership is primarily for all pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, pharmacy students, and others that live in Bucks or Montgomery County.  Those who live in surrounding counties and/or work in either Bucks or Montgomery County are also encouraged to consider joining BMPA.

Lehigh Valley Pharmacists Association (LVPA)

Joint LVPA membership is primarily for all pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, pharmacy students, and others that live in Lehigh or Northampton County.  Those who live in surrounding counties and/or work in either Lehigh or Northampton County are also encouraged to consider joining LVPA.

Should your county group affiliate?

Additional groups have expressed an interest in affiliation and are currently exploring the possibility with PPA.

Interested county/regional groups who would like to learn more about affiliation and its many opportunities and benefits, should contact Pat Epple at the PPA office.
