Continuing Education Materials for 2017 Annual Conference

Please contact Sara Bowden, PPA Program Manager and CPE Administrator, with any questions or concerns at sbowden@papharmacists.com.

Attending and Earning CE Credit

The Pennsylvania Pharmacists Association is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) as a provider of continuing pharmacy education. Details for each continuing education session, including descriptions, program objectives, presenter details, activity type, UAN, and more are available at http://www.papharmacists.com/events/Sessions.aspx?id=987890. All CE sessions are accredited for pharmacists. CE sessions accredited for pharmacists AND pharmacy technicians are noted with a technician attendance key in the conference program.

Some CE presenters will be utilizing Socrative during their presentation. Socrative is an online tool that allows attendees to respond to questions posed by presenters in real time. To use Socrative, you must have a smartphone, tablet, or laptop during the program.

Answer questions by downloading the Socrative Student App at https://socrative.com/apps.html or by going to the Socrative website at https://b.socrative.com/login/student/.

CE Credit Requirements

If you would like to receive CE credit for a CE program, you must do each of the following:

  • Pay any applicable registration fees
  • Sign the sign-in sheet provided during the program (print legibly!)
  • Attend the entire presentation
  • Complete the online evaluation survey linked below by Sunday, October 5.

Grievance Policy

PPA strives to provide only the highest quality continuing pharmacy education programs. PPA also has strict policies regarding bias, conflicts of interest, and commercial support in our CE programs. If you feel that one or more programs offered at this conference included biased content, please bring this to a PPA staff member’s attention as soon as possible.

Unless listed with the CE activity, no commercial support has been received and all CE speakers have no conflicts of interest to disclose. If a CE program has a disclosure listed, the speaker has indicated that they may have a vested interest in the content of their presentation, however all speakers are required to exhibit fair content balance providing the audience with information of multiple perspectives from which to form a professional opinion. If you do not feel a presenter has complied with this policy, please let PPA staff know immediately.

We thank all of our CE presenters for their interest and support!

Tips for Printing Slides

PPA recommends downloading materials to a laptop or mobile device in advance, due to occasional bandwidth issues at the hotel when many individuals attempt large downloads simultaneously.

Open with Adobe Acrobat (download for free here)

To print multiple slides per page: Go to File, Print (or Ctrl+P); under Page Sizing & Handling, click Multiple; then select # of pages per sheet
To print in grayscale: Go to File, Print (or Ctrl+P); check "Print in grayscale (black and white)"

Materials are posted as they become available.
