Pharmacy Immunization Compliance is More Than a Revenue Generator
The purpose of this activity is to educate pharmacists to prepare to expand their pharmacy operations for immunization compliance. Immunization compliance is more than having a standing order. The pharmacy must ensure they have liability insurance that covers the dispensing of immunizations, policies and procedures, intake forms, OSHA requirements including Bloodborne Pathogen Plan. There are many requirements that are needed for immunizations with very little mandates until a patient has a reaction to the vaccine, this is when the liability insurance company starts requesting Policies and Procedures and all the items mention above.
Target Audience: Pharmacy owners, Pharmacists-In-Charge and Pharmacists
