About the Program

The Tobacco Treatment Specialist (TTS) training and certificate program ensures that healthcare practitioners have the specialized knowledge and skills to deliver effective, evidence-­based tobacco cessation interventions.

  

This training is an intensive, two-day live program designed for persons who deliver moderate to intensive tobacco treatment services within a healthcare or community setting. This program is accredited by the Council for Tobacco Treatment Training Programs (CTTTS).

Program Accreditation

The Duquesne University Mylan School of Pharmacy Tobacco Treatment Specialist Training and Certificate Program meets all of the requirements set forth in the Clinical Practice Guidelines for Treating Tobacco Use and Dependence as well as the national competencies for Tobacco Treatment Specialists. This program is accredited by the Council for Tobacco Treatment Training Programs (CTTTS).

   

A Certificate of Achievement will be awarded to participants who successfully complete all program components, as well as an evaluation form.
