Pharmacy Technicians may join the Pennsylvania Pharmacists Association.  Annual dues are only $40 and provide most of the same benefits of membership as pharmacists receive. Pharmacy Technician Students enrolled in an accredited pharmacy training program may join PPA for an annual fee of $10.

Continuing Education

PPA has published several home study CE articles that provide pharmacy technician CE credit. Visit the Continuing Education Programs for Pharmacy Technicians webpage to view these articles.

Pharmacy Technician members of PPA are able to access ten (10) free, one hour Continuing Pharmacy Education (CPE) Programs. These are Home Study programs available online (or by mail for a $5 fee) through the Collaborative Education Institute.  Click here for more information about this opportunity.  Interested members will need an access code to view these activities. 

Pharmacy Technician Forum

The Pharmacy Technician Forum is a group open to all pharmacy technician members and offers members an opportunity to engage in meaningful discussion with their peers. Visit the Pharmacy Technician Forum group page for more information and to join the forum.

Leadership Opportunities

Academy of Pharmacy Technicians- Pharmacy Technician members of PPA are also automatically members of PPA’s Academy of Pharmacy Technicians. The Academy exists to represent the interests of the pharmacy technician community and to provide resources and information for its members.

The Academy- The Academy elects its own Director and has its own bylaws which conform to PPA standards; and has regularly scheduled meetings during PPA’s Mid-Year and Annual Meetings. Additionally, the Academy may also offer specialized training and information opportunities. The Academy’s Director is a member of the PPA Board of Directors and attends meeting and votes on behalf of the technicians’ members.
