- These bills would require pharmacy technicians to register with the Pennsylvania State Board of Pharmacy and submit a criminal history background check. In addition, a grandfathering provision is included which would grandfather individuals currently practicing as a pharmacy technician from having to be at least seventeen years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent and complete a board-approved training program.
