There are also a number of White Papers outlining the application of quality measurement/improvement in a multitude of practice settings.
- National Committee for Quality Assurance
A national organization recognized as a leader in healthcare quality measurement, outcomes tracking and accreditation. Also may be useful in examining HEDIS measures for targeted initiatives for future pharmacy services.
- Pharmacy Quality Alliance
PQA is a national leader in the definition, measurement, and validation of markers of quality outcomes in the profession of pharmacy. They define many metrics used by private health insurers and Medicare as measures of quality. These can also serve as “targets” for pharmacy-driven initiatives in the community setting.
