Student Awards and Recognition

Graduation Cords

PPA offers students at participating schools, (Jefferson College of Pharmacy, Temple University and Wilkes University), with the opportunity to obtain graduation cords for their dedication to the profession.  Please note that at the other schools of pharmacy it is not permissable to wear cords such as PPA at graduation.

In order to obtain a graduation cord from PPA, students must meet all of the following requirements:

  • Attend at least ONE PPA Conference
  • Attend at least ONE Legislative Day
  • Hold a leadership position (Within SPPA- Student PPA, or your PPA school chapter/organization)
  • And, of course, be a member of PPA!

In order to receive a cord, students must completely fill out a form by  April 1, 2017, which can be found HERE.  This form should only be completed by students who are graduating in 2017. Any forms submitted after April 1 will not be eligible to receive a graduation cord.

Please note that cords will be sent to Faculty Liaisons with a list of students who are to receive them shortly after April 1; no later than 2 weeks before graduation.
