|Pharmacy Technicians and MTM|
This series is a primer for Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacists on the appropriate utilization of pharmacy technicians in the efficient delivery of Medication Therapy Management and other medication management services. It starts from the very basics and advances into tips and suggestions of ways pharmacy technicians can assist pharmacists as they deliver consistent, high quality direct patient care related to their medication use.
The series is made up of modules, which are individually accredited for either pharmacy technician or pharmacist with continuing education through ACPE. They are also being offered at no charge for a limited period of time through a federal grant from the CDC in conjunction with the Philadelphia Department of Public Health. It is part of the 1422 grant, "The Philly Difference: Connections for Better Chronic Care."
For Pharmacy Technicians
There are a total of five modules which may each be taken individually on-demand, at your convenience. A total of 2.5 hours of continuing education may be earned through the successful completion of all modules. We do highly recommend that the full series be taken for maximum benefit and understanding. Each module is accredited separately to allow credit to be issued in a timely manner upon completion of a module. Because modules do build on some of the information, we also suggest following the logical progression from Module I to Module II and so forth.
Please go to each module page for specific objectives, CE details, and to access the materials for completion.
There are a total of two modules which may be taken individually on demand. A total of one hour of continuing education may be earned through the successful completion of all modules. The specific objectives, CE details, and materials for completion may be accessed on the module page outlined below.
