The
Pennsylvania Pharmacists Association and the
Pennsylvania Society of Health-System
Pharmacists have joined together to annually
offer a course to help graduating students
prepare to take the MPJE.

Pharmacy
Law Review
Instructed by Jerome Musheno, J.D., RPh.
Pharmacy
students will have two choices of dates and
times to brush up on your knowledge of
federal and Pennsylvania pharmacy laws prior
to sitting for your exams. Both courses
will be held this spring in order to help
you prepare to take the Multistate
Pharmacy Jurisprudence Examination
upon graduation. Courses are conveniently
located in the eastern and western parts of
the states on the campuses of Pennsylvania
schools of pharmacy. Courses are
offered at a special discount to those
students who are members of either PSHP or
PPA or both.
The
course syllabus will include: Controlled
Substances and included schedules,
inventory, refills, labeling, and other
requirements; The Food Drug and Cosmetic Act
and related amendments, the Poison
Prevention, Prescription Drug Marketing, and
Tamper Resistant Packaging Acts;
Pennsylvania Drug labeling; OBRA 90;
Pharmacy Act and Regulations; prescribing
authorities of other practitioners, PA
Department of Health, PA Hospital, and PA
Long Term Care regulations; and much more.
All items provide a solid review for
preparation for the MPJE.

About The
Instructor:
Jerome
Musheno, J.D., R.Ph.
Jerry
Musheno graduated from Temple University School
of Pharmacy as well as Temple University Beasley
School of Law. As an Adjunct Assistant
Professor, he has taught Pharmacy Law at Wilkes
University Nesbitt School of Pharmacy for the
last six years. He is also currently employed
as the Director of Quality Assurance for the
MAXIMUS Center for Health Dispute Resolution,
which is responsible for adjudicating over
20,000 Medicare and State health care appeals
annually. He is also a registered Patent
Attorney with the United States Patent and
Trademark Office and is a member of the American
Society for Pharmacy Law and the Food and Drug
Law Institute.
