Opioid Crisis: Past, Present, and Future

Pharmacy law is often times a small component of pharmacy school curriculum. Even though pharmacists are required to pass the MPJE before being able to practice, it is challenging for pharmacists to stay on the cutting edge of pharmacy laws. The opioid crisis has ravaged our country and continues to pose a significant challenge especially to pharmacists who are often times considered the “last line of defense.” This webinar is designed to give pharmacists a refresher on the laws related to controlled substances and opioids, including an explanation on a pharmacist’s duties related to controlled substances and opioids with examples of issues involving pharmacists and opioids.
