Pumping at the Opportunity: An Overview of Insulin Pump Therapy

Diabetes technology is evolving at a rapid rate, advancing insulin delivery systems and improving quality of life in patients with diabetes. Continuous Subcutaneous Insulin Infusion (CSII) devices, also known as insulin pump therapy, can help facilitate therapy adjustments and improve clinical outcomes. Come and learn about insulin pump technology, available devices, and the role of pharmacists in utilizing insulin pumps to optimize therapy.  At the completion of this program, pharmacists should be able to determine appropriate candidates for such technologies and explain the role of insulin pumps in optimizing blood glucose control.
