Cannabis Conundrums: Navigating Drug-THC and CBD Interactions

The Pennsylvania Medical Marijuana Program is approaching completion of it’s second year and many Pennsylvanians are taking advantage. With this increase in cannabis use, interactions with pharmaceuticals can become an issue at both the dispensary and the pharmacy. This program will evaluate the available data on cannabis-drug interactions, looking at both THC and CBD products and give the pharmacist practical suggestions to help navigate the cannabis conundrum.

Jenna Carmichael, PharmD is a graduate of the University of Arizona, College of Pharmacy. She completed her PGY1 residency at the VA Sierra Nevada Health Care System and PGY2 at Geisinger Medical Center with an emphasis in Oncology Pharmacy. She currently works for Columbia Care, a medical cannabis dispensary with locations in Allentown, Scranton and Wilkes Barre.

At the completion of this activity, the participant will be able to...
1. Describe Pennsylvania Medical Marijuana Program

2. Evaluate the available data on drug-cannabis interactions

3. Apply knowledge learned in program to a patient case

Non-Members - $30- fee will be collected separately and prior to awarding CE credit.
*Requests for cancellation refunds must be submitted to PPA at least one day in advance of the webinar. All refunds will be subject to a $5 administrative fee.

Requirements to receive credit: Participants must attend the entire program and complete an online evaluation survey within one week. PPA must have your CPE Monitor ID and birthday on file to issue credit.
