This event is FREE for PPA/LVPA members. The CE will be followed by a LVPA General Membership Meeting. Come join us for CE credit, an informative presentation, and a LVPA Meeting after!

This event is for pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, pharmacy students, and associate members. CE credit is only offered to pharmacists and pharmacy technicians for this event.

The continuing education presentation highlights current and upcoming pharmacy legislative and regulatory issues in Pennsylvania in 2020, recent COVID related changes, ways that pharmacists/pharmacy technicians can be involved and impact these issues as pharmacy advocates, and will discuss current initiatives and activities underway to advance the profession in Pennsylvania.

Program Objectives:

At the completion of this activity, the participant will be able to: (pharmacists)

1. List recent legislative successes that impact pharmacists and pharmacy practice.

2. Explain current and upcoming pharmacy legislative and regulatory issues in Pennsylvania in 2020.

3. Review recent COVID related changes

4. Identify ways that pharmacists can be involved and impact these issues as pharmacy advocates.

5. Discuss current initiatives and activities underway to advance the profession in Pennsylvania. 

 

At the completion of this activity, the participant will be able to: (technicians)
1. Outline any recent regulation or legislative changes and their impact on pharmacy in Pennsylvania.

2. Identify current and upcoming pharmacy legislative and regulatory issues in Pennsylvania in 2020.

3. Review recent COVID related changes

4. List ways that pharmacy technicians can be involved and impact these issues as pharmacy advocates.

5. Discuss current registration/licensure status for pharmacy technicians in Pennsylvania. 

 

Requirements to receive CE credit: Participants must be present for the entire program, and complete an online evaluation survey within one week. PPA must have you CPE Monitor ID and birthday on file to issue credit. The deadline to complete the survey is November 24th. The survey will be sent out after the CE.

 

Registration Fee:

There is no charge for PPA members.  Please be sure you are logged in when you register.

 

If you are a PPA member not residing in the Lehigh Valley, you are considered a non-member for this event.

 

Only Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians can receive CE credit.

 

The Pennsylvania Pharmacists Association is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education.
