New Practitioners are the future of pharmacy, and PPA supports and encourages your growth and involvement in the profession.

LEAD

Become a Pharmacy Leader with our Leadership Excellence and Advocacy Development course. LEAD is a two year program made up of modules focused on a variety of different areas and aspects of leadership. In addition to the recorded webinars and readings there is considerable focus on discussions, reflections, and interactions with the presenters, program leaders, and fellow participants. The emphasis is on building connections, networking, and building lifelong leadership skills that can be applied in a multitude of ways.

New Practitioner Discussion Forum

The New Practitioner Forum is a meeting designed exclusively for new practitioners. We hold 4 meetings a year, one each at both the PPA Mid-Year and Annual Conference, and also by conference call at other times throughout the year. It is an opportunity for discussion, networking, and idea sharing. The New Practitioner Forum works on suggesting and/or developing programs, ideas, services, and communications focusing on getting and keeping new practitioners engaged and involved in PPA and the profession.

Affiliated Counties

In order to strengthen the pharmacy “voice” and unite pharmacists, the Pennsylvania Pharmacists Association has established a program of joint relationships with selected county or regional pharmacy groups within the Commonwealth. There are many opportunities to get involved locally with affiliated counties, whether it be attending an event or serving on their board - affiliated county associations are always looking for a fresh perspective from New Practitioners.
