Students attending the conference will be able to participate in several hours of student programming each day, as well as sit in on any continuing education programs, meetings, forums, and other events included in the conference schedule. PPA plans a variety of programs designed specifically with our students in mind.

surrounding pharmacist administered immunizations including law, vaccine schedules, vaccine specific information, and general principles surrounding caccine administration.  Audience participation is expected!

Practical Tips on Why and How to Conduct, Present and Publish Patient-Centered Research
Kim Coley, FCCP, PharmD, RPh, Professor at the University of Pittsburgh and Mentor for Pharmacy Students on Conducting Their Own Research

Dr. Coley will be discussing why it is important to conduct evaluations of pharmacist-provided care and share the results more broadly through presentations and publications. She will also provide tips on how to get started and successfully complete a research project.


How to Give an Elevator Speech: Essentials for Marketing Yourself

Achieving Independence Competition

Achieving Independence is student competition designed to foster the budding entrepreneurial spirit among pharmacy students to one day own their own pharmacy! The program was developed in 2009 as a way to encourage creativity and interest in pharmacy ownership.The University of Pittsburgh won this competition in 2018 - which team will take home the traveling plaque this year?

Residency Showcase

PPA's Residency Showcase is an opportunity for students to meet with representatives from residency programs from across Pennsylvania and nearby states. Last year's Residency Showcase had over 70 programs represented and more than 150 students in attendance!


The Residency Showcase is open to all pharmacy students. Showcase registration is included in conference registration packages. Those not attending the rest of the Annual Conference can register for only the showcase. Registration is free for PPA members and $20 for non-members.
