General Continuing Education Information

 

The following information pertains to all continuing education programs presented at this conference:
 

Fees to attend CE sessions are included in the conference registration packages, unless otherwise noted. 

 

To qualify for CE credit, the attendee must be present for the entire program and complete an online evaluation survey within two weeks after conference.Surveys are located at the bottom of this page.

 

CPE Materials

All materials for CPE programs will be available on GoToWebinar or Zoom. You must be attentive 75% or more of the time as our software can monitor this. Registered attendees will be provided with additional access instructions after confirming registration.

 

Grievance Policy

PPA strives to provide only the highest quality continuing pharmacy education programs. PPA also has strict policies regarding bias, conflicts of interest, and commercial support in our CPE programs.  If you feel that one or more programs offered at this conference included biased content, please bring this to a PPA staff member’s attention as soon as possible.

 

Disclosures: Unless listed in a CPE program’s session details, all CPE presenters have no conflicts of interest to disclose. If a CPE program has a disclosure listed and the presenter has indicated that they do have a vested interest in the content of their presentation; PPA feels they have satisfactorily addressed the concern for bias and all presenters are required to exhibit fair content balance providing the audience with information of multiple perspectives from which to form a professional opinion. If you do not feel a presenter has complied with this policy, please let PPA staff know immediately. No commercial support has been received for any CPE programs.

 

Note to Students: While we have designed specific programming for you, you are welcome to sit in on any CPE presentation that may interest you except the PPCN/FtP Track.

 

Continuing Pharmacy Education Programs

The Pennsylvania Pharmacists Association is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) as a provider of continuing pharmacy education. Each activity has been designed to meet the needs of pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, or both.  Programs designed specifically for pharmacists have a (P) at the end of the program title; programs designed specifically for pharmacy technicians have (T) at the end of the program title.

All CPE activities provided at this conference are accredited by PPA, except the CE: New Directions in Influenza Management: The Pharmacist’s Guide to Patient Identification, Testing, and Antiviral Use which is accredited by ProCE, Inc. ProCE is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education. 

 

PPA does not accept financial support for any CE program, all exceptions would be noted on the CE.

 

CE sessions are labeled as either Introductory, Intermediate, or Advanced level. These designations are self-declared by the presenter, are not recognized or recorded by ACPE, and have no bearing on CPE requirements.
