Chain Pharmacists and Managers

Many of our members can be found behind the counter, as well as in the management of large and small chains, making a difference in patients' lives daily.

Our members tell their story:

          Cory Krebs

 Chain Pharmacist

"PPA membership offers something for every pharmacist in the state of Pennsylvania, regardless of area of practice. Chain pharmacists may not realize the impact that they can have on the profession as a member of PPA. The ability to network with different pharmacists from all over the state, to get involved with various committees that help make policu and push the profession forward, and to receive CE's and information relating to future regulation changes are all reasons why a pharmacist, regardless of practice setting, would benefit from PPA. Joining PPA and becoming involved with all it has to offer has been of the most rewarding professional endeavors of the past 20 years"

 Tamre Joyce

CVS Health

"I think working for a chain as an employee isolates many of us into thinking that someone else will take care of things and make you feel like you are out there alone. Joining together with others working towards a common goal makes a difference to your job satisfaction and growth. PPA gives us that opportunity by bringing all pharmacists together and by providing information on legislation that affects how we work."

          Luke Barnes

Ahold USA

“By being a part of PPA, you are able to positively affect state legislation. State Legislation affects many aspects of pharmacy practice, such as reimbursement transparency and third party audit regulations. The more ways we can make an impact and advocate on a state level will determine how we continue to drive the profession of pharmacy. So the more members involved in PPA, the louder the voice and relevancy we have to make these positive changes.”

Sheena Patel

 CVS Pharmacy

"I joined PPA six years ago as a student and now as a Community Pharmacist. I love being a part of PPA because it allows me to stay connected with other community pharmacists, who help me grow professionally, not only for my patients, but also for myself as an individual practitioner. PPA is also always up to date on the changes in pharmacy legislation, which keeps me on top of issues affecting my area of practice. As a whole, this organization provides everything I need, from networking to staying current, which is why I will always continue to be a member of PPA!"

Ashley Robold

ACME Pharmacy

"I fell in love with PPA as a student and even more as a pharmacist working for a grocery store chain. The work that PPA does to elevate our profession is unmatched and so important to our future. I think that a lot of chain pharmacists think that they’ll continue to get a paycheck as long as they show up for work and do their job. Unfortunately, there’s so much more to it than that. We, as pharmacists, need to come together to make sure that we are reimbursed appropriately for all parts of the job that we’re doing. If we don’t keep up to date on current issues and legislation and fight for what is best for our patients and our profession, our future will be very different from our present. Only we have the ability to make the future of pharmacy into exactly what we want it to be - and PPA is of vital importance in allowing us to do just that. PPA gives us the resources to care for our patients, keeps us up to date with current legislation, provides us with the tools to easily contact our legislators, and provides a network of other pharmacists from all practice settings who are just as passionate about pharmacy - many of which have become my lifelong friends."
