Meet Your Advisory Board

Victoria Blake, Foundation Director

University of Pittsburgh, PharmD Candidate 2020

1. Why did you decide to run to be a part of the Student Advisory Board?
I have wanted to be more involved with PPA since I attended the Midyear conference during my first professional year in pharmacy school. When a member of the student advisory board told me about the upcoming election, I thought it was a great opportunity to become more connected with this organization and help others learn what it has to offer.

2. What are you most looking forward to accomplishing during your term?

This year I am looking forward to meeting the board members and other students from the various pharmacy schools. Through these new relationships, I hope to help PPA grow as an organization via the student involvement.

3. Where do you see yourself in five years?

In five years, I see myself moving closer to family in Connecticut and working in the outpatient setting within community pharmacy. Still open to see where the next few years take me.

4. What activities are you currently involved in?

The organizations that I am currently involved in include AMCP, APhA-ASP, PPA, and LKS at the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy

5. What do you do in your free time?

In my free time, I like to spend time with friends and go on various trips to new hiking trails in the area. Also, I enjoy skiing in the winter and taking dance classes whenever possible.

6. If you could have dinner with anyone (alive/dead, real/fake, ect.) who would it be and why?

I would love to have dinner with Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. I feel as though they would have a great dinner party and be entertaining to talk to. Also, I would love to hear about some of their personal stories that they have experienced throughout their careers.
