The Bucks County Pharmacists Association (BCPA) was formed in 1938. After decades as one of Pennsylvania's most active county organizations, activity faltered in recent years and the group was considered active in name only. The Montgomery County Pharmacists Association (MCPA) was established in 1955 and affiliated with PPA in 2011. In an effort to strengthen their presence in the region and encourage new and involved members to join, MCPA merged with the remnants of BCPA to form BucksMont Pharmacists Association (BMPA) in 2013.
BMPA is the second county or regional association to officially affiliate with PPA!

Conference Registration Reimbursement:

Starting with the Annual Conference in September 2016, BMPA will now reimburse members for a portion of their registration fees associated with attending PPA conferences.   The reimbursement structure is as follows:

Pharmacists and Technicians will receive a  $150 reimbursement for Full Conference Registration,  $100 for Two Day Registration  and $50 for Friday or Saturday only registration.  Students will receive a $100 reimbursement for any out of pocket registration expenses.  Any expenses paid for by outside sources (such as a school scholarship fund, special account or employer) are not reimbursable.

All members must email a copy of their paid invoice to Dave Cunningham, BMPA treasurer (msrx@live.com). Please indicate a mailing address in the body of the email.  All invoices should be emailed either prior to the conference date or no later than two weeks after the conference.  Reimbursement checks will be mailed 4 to 6 weeks later.

BMPA provides two (2) $500 scholarship opportunities to students in their first professional year of the PharmD program or beyond, who have maintained a cumulative 3.0 GPA or greater.  Applicants must also include an essay, 500 words or less, outlining personal goals in the profession of pharmacy.  Prior awardees are not eligible.  Applications are due August 1, 2018.
