The Pennsylvania Pharmacists Association (PPA) celebrates the launch of a unique brand identity for Pharmacists and pharmacy interns/students who receive peer assistance monitoring services through the Physicians’ Health Program (PHP) at The Foundation of the Pennsylvania Medical Society.
The creation of web information distinctive to pharmacy and brand identity for the Pharmacists’ Health Program (PharmHP) aims to promote early identification and facilitate the rehabilitation of pharmacists and trainees dealing with substance use disorders, mental health disorders, and/or behavioral concerns. “Our goal is to coordinate assessment and treatment, as well as provide monitoring and advocacy to ensure the safe practice of the profession and the safety of the public,” states Tiffany Booher, Director of the Peer Assistance Monitoring Programs.
“The Pennsylvania Pharmacists Association is pleased that the Foundation of the Pennsylvania Medical Society has relaunched its peer assistance monitoring program as a unique pharmacy-branded program to serve pharmacists and pharmacy students throughout the Commonwealth,” says PPA CEO Victoria Elliott, RPh, MBA, CAE.
“Any Pharmacist or pharmacist candidate that may be struggling with a mental health, substance abuse disorder or behavioral issue has a safe, effective and confidential resource for treatment via the PharmHP.”
