Areas of Study
The LEAD program will have monthly modules on specific topics. Modules will include short, recorded webinars for you to access at your leisure, a monthly call and discussion with the presenter and other participants, interaction with other individuals, and specific action steps to reinforce your learning objectives. Additionally, there may be face-to-face meetings with the group, at the PPA Conferences and Leadership Retreats, along with Board and Committee participation. Application Requirements
Applicants for LEAD must be pharmacy graduates within the last 10 years (class of 2016 and on) interested in building their experience, skills, and leadership abilities. Preference will be given to pharmacists who are not currently enrolled in a residency program and who have at least 1 year of professional work experience.
Other required application elements include two essay questions, a CV/resume, a letter of recommendation, and a $50 non-refundable application fee. You will also be required to participate in a short virtual interview with a representative from the LEAD Development Committee prior to acceptance into the program.
Tuition/Enrollment Fee
Aside from the application fee, this program is being provided free of charge to participants. However, attendance at required events will be the financial responsibility of the participant. In order to receive a certificate of completion, participants are required to attend the following in-person events, in addition to the monthly virtual discussions held on zoom:
- Two PPA Annual Conferences that correspond with the beginning and end of the program
- PPA Leadership Retreat held in the Fall
- Legislative Day held in the Spring

LEAD is jointly presented by the Pennsylvania Pharmacists Association and the PPA Educational Foundation for the purpose of fostering leaders in the pharmacy profession.
