HARRISBURG, PA — The Pennsylvania Pharmacists Association (PPA) and the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists (ASCP) are proud to announce a new strategic affiliation agreement. This partnership unites the state’s leading pharmacy advocate with the only international professional society devoted to optimal medication management and improved health outcomes for all older adults.
The primary goal of this affiliation is to foster a unified voice for pharmacists across the Commonwealth. By working in concert, both organizations aim to enhance the professional lives of pharmacists, strengthen the operational success of pharmacies, and, most importantly, improve the quality of care for patients throughout Pennsylvania.
Key highlights of the agreement include:
- Joint Membership Opportunities: The organizations will launch a joint membership initiative, allowing Pennsylvania pharmacists to easily access the localized advocacy and networking of PPA alongside the specialized clinical resources and senior-care expertise of ASCP.
- Collaborative Advocacy: PPA and ASCP will coordinate legislative and regulatory efforts in Harrisburg to ensure that the evolving role of the pharmacist is recognized and supported within the Pennsylvania healthcare system.
- Resource Sharing: Members will benefit from a broader range of educational programs, clinical tools, and professional development opportunities tailored to the unique landscape of Pennsylvania pharmacy practice.
