PPA invites pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and healthcare professionals to submit proposals for high-quality, engaging continuing pharmacy education (CPE) sessions. Selected presentations will be featured at our 2027 Annual Conference, Webinar Series, and CE Podcast Series.
We welcome proposals from both members and non-members. If selected, non-members are encouraged to join PPA to take full advantage of member benefits.
Pharmacy Technicians: We strongly encourage technician-led or co-presented sessions. Selected technician presenters are eligible for a discounted PPA membership!
Submission Topics
We seek proposals that reflect the diverse and evolving practice of pharmacy. All topics are welcome. Suggested categories include:
- Disease State Management/Drug Therapy: activities that address drugs, drug therapy, and/or disease states such as the following topics: PGx, CBD, GLP-1s, Diabetes Standards, Immunization Updates, Cardiovascular Disorders, OTC & Self-Care, Maternal Health, LGBTQIA+ Health, Clinical Guidelines
- HIV/AIDS: therapeutic, social, ethical, or psychological issues related to the understanding and treatment of patients with HIV/AIDS
- Law Related to Pharmacy Practice: topics that address federal, state, or local laws and regulations of the practice of pharmacy specifically looking for Legal updates (e.g., 2025 Pharmacy Law)
- Pharmacy Administration & Professional Development: topics relevant to the practice of pharmacy that include the economic, social, administrative and managerial aspects of pharmacy practice and health care such as the following: Leadership, identity formation, mental health, billing, documentation, DEI, interprofessional collaboration
- Patient Safety: topics relevant to the prevention of healthcare errors and the elimination or mitigation of patient injury caused by healthcare errors
- Immunizations: recommend immunization schedules procedures, proper storage and disposal, and record keeping
- Compounding: activities related to sterile, non sterile, and hazardous drug compounding for humans and animals. This includes best practices and USP quality assurance standards, environmental testing and control, record keeping, error detection and reporting, and continuous quality improvement processes
- Opioids, SUD, Pain Management: activities that address any component regarding the treatment and management of pain, including the prescribing, distribution and use of opioid medications, and/or the risks, symptoms, and treatment of opioid misuse/addiction
- Additional Topic Areas: topics relevant to the practice of pharmacy not included above

Selected presenters for the annual conference may be invited to deliver their session again as a live webinar or on-demand home study.
