Child Abuse Recognition and Reporting Training

IMPORTANT NOTE: PPA as a licensed Act 31 provider must submit course completions to both the state and your CPE Monitor. The CPE Monitor reporting is automatic, however, the state submission is manual.

PPA usually uploads these once a month except when we are close to renewal. However, the state only uploads its data once daily after-hours. Do NOT wait until the last minute or you may not have the completion done for your license renewal. You should allow at least 14 days before it’s uploaded to PALS.

Act 31 requires licensed PA pharmacists to complete a 2-hour training program on child abuse recognition and reporting during each renewal period.

This on-demand training program has been approved to meet Act 31 requirements for the two-hour program.

Users must complete three video modules and answer assessment questions. You will receive weekly reminder emails until you complete the training. If you need to pause the video at any time, you will be able to return and pick up where you left off by following the link in these reminder emails. If you experience any issues viewing the modules on a mobile device, please try using a desktop computer.

NOTE: this course is ONLY for license renewals. The three-hour course is required for all first-time licensees (both pharmacists and pharmacy technicians). To locate a three-hour course, visit the Commonwealth’s list of Child Abuse Recognition and Reporting Continuing Education Providers.
